The Colts team covers a two year age group for male players aged 17 or 18 at the start of the season on 1st September. They have their own managment and coaching support and a full fixture list but also form an important part of a player's transition from youth to senior rugby. There is close co-opertaion between the management and coaches of both groups and at while they are in the colts players will be invited to play occasionally for senior sides. A few of the most able colts will be selected for the club 1st XV. The club is proud of the fact that it helps all its young players to reach their full potential and that a very large proportion of first and second XV players came up through the youth and Colts teams.
