The only way to really understand a rugby tour is to go on one. Book team accommodation for a long weekend, fix up games with a couple of local clubs and have a great rugby celebration. Here is what one of Keighley Diprose our fly half wrote about last years tour. "The team finished the season with a fantastic themed tour; combined with the Norfolk 10-a-side tournament, The first night dressed in glam rock they venturing back to the West Norfolk rugby club, the second night dressing military style, resulting in a trophy for the most entertaining team. The tournament proved Harlow Ladies abilities, loosing only to national league sides. Harlow Ladies have made their mark on the ladies rugby scene and shown that are here to stay." For this season's tour they will be sampling west country rugby and hospitality in Bude and fitting in a day surfing. It is rumoured because cold water is a good hangover cure
In addition to the ladies own events the lady members are regulars at all the events organised by the club. Discos, live music and themed evenings, formal and very informal lunches and dinners plus an annual Hog Roast and a Grand Summer Ball.
As a sport rugby has a tradition for having a strong social side. Although ladies rugby has only really taken off in the last 20 years the players have really signed up for this tradition. If you decide to join us you will find yourself a part of the scene. After training and most other nights you will find squad members in the club bar. Post match celebrations start there but players will usually go on somewhere an make a night of it. You will also find frequent events, anything for an excuse to get together.
